Hello!

Software glitches may be behind sudden acceleration and braking failures in Toyota vehicles. It's ironic that Toyota, the leader in building quality automobiles, may have become the poster child for poor software quality. It probably won't be the last auto manufacturer to suffer this fate...!

...didn't find it on northeasternoutdoors.net smile.gif

Sorry, if choose "The Cabin" incorrectly! Move it, please!

Kinda funny how all this technology is 'supposed' to improve our lives are causeing more headaches than the old stuff we had. I think the touted gas pedal shim fix is BS as well. If it were so damn easy, why didnt they do it asap as the problem was discovered? What logic is that? "Lets NOT put a 1/3 cent piece of metal in to prevent wear, and tarnish our 50+ year reputation.. " Detroit, maybe, but not from Japan..

If the gas pedal gets stuck, put the car into neutral. Depending on how high the RPMs are, most likey you will put the rod though the head. But id rather blow a engine then hit a person.

Neutral and then shut the car off.

Luckily my new truck was not part of the recall.

once you shut off the car you cant steer and if you are in high speeds not the smartest thing to do, down shift, get the car to slow down and close to stop and neutral. Blow the engine, it the car over me and the family.

Then sue Toyota!

You can steer, it's just very, very difficult.

But yes, that is fine as well!
