Alright, this winter has been pretty rough, with the number of deers as low as they are how do you think this winter has affected the deer population?
It's hard to say without knowing specific snow conditions in the areas we hunt. If there is a lot of snow (a foot or more) for a long period of time (a month or more), typically that would trigger a higher winter kill.
MY FATHER INLAW FOUND A DOE LAST WEEKEND . LOOKS LIKE SHE HAD EXPIRED THAT NIGHT OR ERILY MORNING . HE WENT OUT COUPLE DAYS AFTER . ALL THAT WAS LEFT WAS CLUMPS OF HAIR .
Coyotes probably moved her. I find death markers like that in NJ all the time.
