NO, BUT! Jose…be very very careful. Car fax isn’t what its cracked up to be. It only has what’s been reported. For example (I think I told this story when it happened) My buddy Rob had a Toyota pick up, we were heading to a NASCAR race in SC we hydroplaned and smacked into a tree. The bed shifted, leaf springs bent, truck was fucked up. He never reported it to the insurance company, never made a police report. He had it fix by the dealer…they didn’t log it either. Him and my other friend both use to work there years ago. The truck was repaired, then he tuned in the lease. It never made car fax.
Used cars are dangerous. Don’t trust a salesman. 2 of my friends sold cars before they got called by the city. Be extremely careful. All that bull shit “an old man traded it in’ “it was a girls car” they are lying. The salesman has no idea who owned it. 90% of trades and lease returns goto auction. Come 2011 I drive my jeep to the dealer or some times Chrysler picks it up, my jeep will be sent to auction and sold to either a jeep dealer or some fly by night car dealer. He will then sell it on the lot. It can end up in a auction block in Fla and sold on a lot in Vegas.
I don’t know what you want to spend, but some times new is cheaper then used. Price around.

The last Consumer Reports just had a blip basicly saying what Jr said..
If a totaled, or sold as a repairable wreck noted on the title, the "carfax' dont show it.
Buyer beware.. Even new cars you need to watch out for.. One customer we had bought a car that was hit at the dealer & repaired, before it was titled! When he found out, the law said if dammage was under 4K, the buyer didnt need to be notified of the repair! This was in NJ, but NY may be different..

My one friend work for Manfriedi Toyota, they backed a brand new van into the wall fucked it all up, they drove it down the street to the body shop fixed it and put it back on the floor...
car salesman are scum. The shit they do to people.
And Trades? that’s another scam.
Same friend worked for Plaza in Brooklyn. He was at Toyota, across the street was Acura. I don’t remember what year this happened. He’s a cop 6 years, worked at Manfriedi for a few years so this has to be at least 8-9 years ago, anyway girl comes in to by a brand new TL. The salesman asks her if she has a trade, she says "nah, I have an old car...not worth much. the salesman says, well, what is it...we take all trades. She says an 87 Mustang GT with 28,000 miles. the guys chin hits the floor and says ohhh yeah that’s an old car. We'll give you 800 bucks for it. She agrees. He takes the car, puts in a new clutch and sells it to my friend for 1,000. The car is mint. It now has 32,000 miles on it. Its worth around 8-10,000gs The girl had no idea what she had.
My point is DO YOUR HOME WORK, you have to know everything about what you’re buying and trading.

or just save the trouble and buy new....some times its cheaper. how much is the truck youre buying? I'll never buy used again. I get bored way to fast with cars. The yday i buy it, im thinking what i want next, the other reason is I'm sick of other peoples junk.
for example, a 08 Jeep like mine with 20,000 miles is $20,000, brand new 2010$23,000. Why buy used?
Papo I have a good mechanic, if you need one
