Sonny and I have been doing some thinking and I’m sorry to announce we are shutting down the site. The cost and time to keep the site going isn’t worth it for the small # of members we have. I will admit I am one of the people who stopped posting. We all have to much going on in our lives, work, family, house, etc. I’m not sure when the site will be shut down. I believe Sonny will keep it up until the web address expires. We all meet some good friends here and we want to keep in touch. We want to continue meeting for hunts and shoots. So please email me your contact info so we can keep in touch. Once I have everyone’s contact info (with your permission of course) I will send out a mass email to all with everyone’s info so we can all keep in touch

I'm in Colorado, but when I get home I'll address the issue further.

It greatly saddens me that the site will be shutting down, I have always felt that we were a small group but a tight one, I have made some good friends here and I hope the best to everyone and hopefully we will continue to meet up in the park for the shoots and continue the tradition of hunting. Thanks everyone!

No offense Sonny, but I've been married for 15 years this May, & consider marring my wife one of the best things I ever did BUT I probably still wouldn't do it again!

NEO is unique because we actually DID real world things.. Most forums don't..
As Jr said, if we all did a little bit, a few post weekly, we could get this place going again..

I'm still in Colorado, but I got a few minutes so I'll try my best to address the issue.

As far as the marriage, my mistake last time shouldn't affect the perfect thing I found this time... that's all I'll say about that ;) .

We had a good run guys, but the fact is, I have to pay for the address every year, and although it's not a lot, it's still a few bucks and things have been looking down for the site.

It's not so much the guys that we have posting infrequently, it's the fact that we haven't been attracting new members at all.

I sent out a ton of those little cards we made up, and didn't get one new member from them. Unfortunately, I am sure that some of that stems from visitors checking the site and seeing very little traffic, which is basically a Catch-22 for us: we need members to get members.

If everyone really wants to keep it going, I'll ditch the NEO.net address and revert to the generic, free, address. At that point, it really wouldn't matter if it was just me posting, the site would be free.

Look, when Sonny gets back him and I will talk and see what we come up with. But so far only 3 people contacted me about this. so it seems no body elese but those 3 and myself wants to keep the site open.
