I went out this past weekend to a couple new areas, didn't see anything Saturday. Sunday i seen 5 but just weren't close enough to shoot so i will change spots in the morning. I seen my first ever buck chasing a doe but he was moving too fast and i felt he was too far. i have seen bucks out back here, I've seen them dead after husband has shot them even almost hit one with my car, but i have never seen one out while hunting so that was exciting for me. 5 min. later i heard 2 shots pretty close, not sure if thy got buck or doe or both. Starting tomorrow i have the next 5 days off to be out there. Good luck everyone!

Sounds like a great week so far to me.

My father in Law always said being in the woods, & seeing game makes for a great trip cause you know the animals are there at least..
Just need to co-ordinate the meeting time with them!

i was back out today and nothing, not sure if it was too windy but i do know wind direction changed and i changed spots.

I wont give up. already thinking about getting my muzzle load tag just so i can get out there. went back to the town i was at opening day and still nothing. there were so many guys out there i left, it was kinda scary. rain and snow tomorrow but if its not that bad i will go out in morning for a couple hrs.

i am sure you guys know that i still haven't gotten a deer. shotgun ended yesterday so i will be going to get my muzzle load tag. was hoping i wouldn't have to but i don't want to give up. my husband was out less than for hrs total and about an hour last Monday and got a 10 pointer. thats the way it is for me around here, i try and he goes out very little and gets one every year.

Think of it like anything else in a marriage... You BOTH got a 10 pt!
